Our mission at King's Road Veterinary Practice is to understand your pet needs and provide accurate guidance and advice. We can help you with numerous concerns, from puppy and kitten advice to behavioural and dietary consults to end of life discussions. We can also assist with determining the urgency of a situation and deciding whether your pet requires immediate care or alternatively provide some management at home.

  • Enter a description of your pet's problem and questions that you'd like to discuss within the phone consultation. Please upload relevant videos/photos in images section.
  • Attach any supporting videos (especially useful if your pet has a limp), pictures (eg skin/eyes/ears/lumps), or documents for our professional to review.
  • Your card will not be charged until you have spoken to our vet.
  • Requirements: Any device using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. An actual phone is required. Do not use Internet Explorer.

We are a caring veterinary practice based in Sunderland with a skilled team of Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Surgeons and support staff led by practice owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon Wendy Rowntree. The practice was founded in 2012 when our team consisted of three members of staff, since then we have grown as a practice from strength to strength – expanding our client base and the services we offer.

We aim to offer top quality care for your pets in a friendly, caring environment. Animal welfare and client satisfaction are our priorities, this is why we have become an integral part of our local community and also provide care to pets from several of Sunderland’s animal charities.

Schedule Appointment

Once in the application, select your preferred communication channel (phone, or message) and select an available time slot. PLEASE NOTE PHONE CALLS WILL BE AS CLOSE TO TIME AS POSSIBLE BUT CAN'T BE GUARANTEED For messages, a time slot is not needed and our experts typically respond in 24 hours.

Our unique communication system provides a high quality video chat with a Vet within the browser on your phone or desktop, no app install required! If you don`t have camera, our experts will call you on the phone!
